My Spiritual Accountability Partner and I read amazing Bible Plans on the YouVersion Bible App. By the way, you should check out their short plans that cover all types of topics, you don’t have to struggle thinking about which chapter to read next😀, and better yet, is that you can read them with your pals for accountability purposes. Anyway, our current plan is about ‘Praying for your elephant – Praying bold prayers’, and the plan kept reminding us that:

  1. Prayer is out of Satan’s influence, he has no power to warp or influence a prayer’s trajectory to God’s throne after it has been prayed. Once a prayer is unleashed, it bounces around eternity in perpetuity, burning before the throne of God like incense.
  2. Prayer is spiritually dangerous for Satan, that’s why the best he can do is to prevent you from praying
  3. His strategy is that you don’t pray at all, as a prayer never prayed has zero chance of ever being answered (this hit me real hard)
  4. When prayer is primarily about answers, our relationship with God becomes results-focused

“A prayer never prayed has zero chance of ever being answered”

All these points kept hitting me, one after the other, and I couldn’t help but wonder how better my life can be if I pray much more than I do. I then started reflecting on some of the times I prayed to God and He answered.

Some time back, I desired and prayed about getting a leadership Bible called ‘The Maxwell Leadership Bible’, which cost around KES 5,000+ and I felt convicted to talk to someone about it, and the person was like…the next time you are in that bookshop, you give me a call and I will pay. I was like “😮😳Are you for real?”…The kinda prayers that are answered and you still can’t believe how soon your prayer has been answered😀.

Next up, is recently when I needed some resources to relocate, and it had disturbed me for over 2 weeks…again, I prayed about it, and God came through in a very miraculous way.

This got me thinking, what if I had never prayed about the above, and many more, would those situations have changed?

I praise God that we have a Father, who gives us all good things according to His riches. Mathew 7:7 says “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye. shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh. findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”

John 15: 7 affirms that “If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” Just imagine…

James 4:3 says “When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.”

What are you trusting God for today? Maybe you’ve not asked, and that’s why you’ve not received. And, if you have not received that which you’ve already prayed for, be patient, and In His time, and if its according to His good, pleasing and perfect will, He will answer you in due time. Don’t give up, keep knocking.

Blessings and love to you all.
